Today, I stepped back and thought about the number of opportunities
that are out there. When have we ever been faced with so many
money making opportunities before? It's no wonder the business
is booming. It's also amazing that there is room for all these
opportunities, with the internet being a world wide resource we
are no longer restricted to making money in our own neighbourhood,
city or even country.
Along with these wonderful opportunities we are also faced with
many scams, and businesses that just don't work out. Many of us
lose money and vow never to get involved again. (Although, if you
are like me you probably do.)
The sad truth is that sometimes you just cannot tell wether an
opportunity is going to work or not. The only thing you can do is
be very careful in making your choices. Two phrases come to mind;
'You have to spend money to make money' and 'don't put all your
eggs into one basket.'
If you are serious about making money on the internet you will
inevitably be faced with costs. Even if the opportunity you join has
no fees, you will still need to build on that opportunity. You may
have to sell or recruit others. This means advertising. Of course,
we all know that advertising need not cost anything but our time.
But how long are you willing to spend on advertising your
opportunity? By using free methods you will need to spend several
hours every day. Advertising that you pay for can be much more
successful. Just be careful that you check out your advertising
resources thouroughly. Test them, and if they work you know you
will not be wasting your money if you use them again.
If you join an opportunity that involves membership fees or other
costs, be sure at the start that you can truly afford it.
Particularly if these are recurring costs. Many people pass over
their money believing that they will be earning twice as much
back very soon. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is just hype.
It does take time, and advertising, and work. No-one should
expect to sit back and wait for the cash to flow in. This might
be the internet, but it's still the real world.
It is possibly a good idea to join more than one opportunity.
Then if one goes under or doesn't work out as planned, at least
you have the other one to fall back on. However, this doesn't mean
that you should sign up for every opportunity that catches your
eye.Think carefully about how much time and money you are
willing to spend on your chosen opportunities and what you
will expect in return. Making an opportunity work is like
running your own business. You have to put your heart and
soul into it if you really want to succeed. I do not believe
that there is anyone on this earth who could possibly put
their heart and soul into more than three or four
opportunities. I would recommend choosing just two.
It is possible to work a successful online opportunity.
Just keep these points in mind.
*Think carefully about how much time and money you
have to spare.
*Think carefully about the opportunity you wish to sign
up for. Check it out first and find out what you can about
it. Don't just rely on the site itself, check out forums,
message boards and scam sites. Find out what other people
are saying about it.
*Don't take hype seriously. You cannot make thousands
of dollars overnight.
*Feel free to invest in more than one opportunity but don't
sign up for everything that takes your interest.
*Test your advertising to find out what works. This is
particularly important when paying for your advertising.
*Enjoy what you decide to do.
